Millésime 2013
Produced with grapes harvested from selected parcels on the hillside that faces the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil sur Oger, this wine expresses the character of a very promising vintage. After a fresh and rainy spring, the dry and warm summer contributed to a healthy maturation of grapes. The harvest was delayed by the rains during the first half of September, postponing the picking of the grapes to the half of October. The primary fermentation and vinification are carried out in steel barrels at controlled temperatures that vary between 18-20 °C. The malolactic fermentation is prevented, then follows the secondary bottle fermentation phase aging on the lees for no less than 60 months. There is no liqueur d’expédition added, so the dosage remains under 1g/l.
Preservation and Consume
The ideal temperature to preserve our wine for long aging is 13°C /55°F, at 70-80% RH.
Our Millésime is perfect to be consumed immediately, but it can develop further aromas for 15/20 Years
Serving
We suggest to serve the wine at 4°C / 40°F and eventually let it warm up in the glass to reach the perfect tasting temperature around 7°- 9°C / 44°- 48°F
Glass
A wide tulip with a pointy base should be preferred, to release all the aromas without losing effervescence
